Cincinnati Bar Foundation

The Cincinnati Bar Foundation’s tradition of making grants and otherwise encouraging programs that improve access to justice and support the legal profession began in 1961.  As the philanthropic arm of the Cincinnati Bar Association and the only fully independent law-related charitable organization in Cincinnati, the CBF is dedicated to “Promoting Justice and Changing Lives through the Law.”

Seed money & grants by the Foundation are made on a semi-annual basis to programs that improve our community’s access to and understanding of the law, and are concentrated in these areas:

§         Education & Training Programs to encourage knowledge, understanding and respect for
   the law in the community

§         “Filling in the gaps” by supporting delivery of affordable legal services for the poor, elderly
    and disadvantaged

§         Assistance programs for our community to improve the quality and administration of justice

§         Improving the image of the legal profession by fostering professionalism and civility in
   the practice of law

The Cincinnati Bar Foundation is a non-profit organization IRC 501(c)(3). Gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
